The Chief Sheikh of Shinyanga Region, Ismail Habibu Makusanya, has called on some bodaboda riders to stop snatching people’s property and instead adhere to road safety laws.

He made the call on March 21 during prayers for Eid El-Fitr held at Sabasaba grounds in Shinyanga Municipality, emphasizing the importance of fearing God and maintaining the good morals demonstrated during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Some bodaboda riders should immediately stop the habit of snatching people’s belongings on the roads. It is not good. Let us fear God,” said Makusanya.

He also commended the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her compassion toward children, particularly her decision to care for an abandoned child.

On his part, the Shinyanga District Sheikh, Sudi Kategile, urged believers of all faiths to continue praying for the nation and its leaders so that God may grant them wisdom and guidance in leading the country in peace and stability.

Some Muslim worshippers who attended the prayers supported Sheikh Makusanya’s message, noting that it is important for society to uphold morals and obey the law to maintain peace and security.
